Need to Gather Client Feedback?

Having used SurveyMonkey for years, I hadn’t really looked around at other options. It was stable, and did what I wanted. I’ve recently run into JotForm as an alternative…and I have to say that I prefer its form building interface over SurveyMonkey’s. Building a form is intuitive and setting advanced properties becomes very easy. It really has some great features, such as seamless embedding into multiple publication platforms…like WordPress.

You’d want to use JotForm to gather client feedback or take in resumes, for example. Anytime you need a form that you can integrate into your site or use as a standalone input tool, forget waiting days for a developer to throw something together…do it yourself in just a few minutes.

Ethernet Cabling Gets Speedier

In case you are paying attention to the speed of cables…cause, who isn’t?…you may have noticed that Cat 6 Ethernet cables have been a standard link within data centers for a while now. Internal traffic is usually split over multiple Cat 6 10G cables. With increased virtualization, transfer volume, and larger impact hardware fitting into smaller spaces the IEEE responded with standards outlining 100GE cabling.

While the industry is tending towards this new technology, it is cost prohibitive for most companies and still only being used in test situations.

How to blow $2.2 Million

I’m not sure who thought this would work…but ‘Zipzoom‘ just raised $2.2 Million in private investment. The problem most likely won’t be the app, but the lack of market share that Zipzoom has…combined with the amount of communication effort that vendors will have to give forth to participate in making the service worthwhile.

I have a feeling this one won’t work out well unless they specifically target and own a certain geographical area to start. Zipzoom, forget about realizing all the numbers your excel spreadsheets point to once 10 million users are using your service and focus on converting users in a single area first. It’ll result in a slower growth, but will pay off if you manage to dominate a smaller market.
